STHLM svaga

STHLM svaga plays jazz and free jazz music quietly. STHLM svaga works with the limitations of precipices. Sounds emerge from the precipice of nothing and sit on the edge of existing. Here in this precarious state, a microcosm of detail, expression and effort are magnified. There is an endless exploration in the liminal space of becoming, sounding and decay.

Vi spelar musik som nyligen komponerats för oss av Roscoe Mitchell Never Sound More! (2021), Ron Carter Desert lament (2021) samt en dedikation till Albert Ayler som just nu komponeras av Archie Shepp. Vi har tidigare spelat musik komponerad för oss av Carla Bley och Anna Einarsson, musik komponerad av medlemmar ut ensemblen samt moderna standars komponerade under 1960-talet av bl.a. Wayner Shorter, Ornette Coleman och John Coltrane.
